Musée des vallées cévenoles (Museum of Cévenol Valleys) at St Jean du Gard

A visit to this Museum will enable you to discover the history of the Anduze Vase and that of its potters. From the Musée des Vallées Cévenoles’ wonderfully rich collections has been drawn a number of objects linked to ceramics and especially those from the locally made potteries and the famous Anduze vase in particular.

Entry fee to Museum : Adults 5€ , Children and Students 4€, Free for under 12s.

Potter’s Market, Plan de Brie, Anduze

For the third year in succession, the Association of Cévenol Potters is organizing its July Potter’s Market. This year there will be even more potters and ceramists present. Approximately thirty exhibitors will be displaying their beautiful ceramics and pots, ranging from small bowls through to pieces of sculpture.
New this year: All the exhibitors will be required to present an original work based on the theme : And God created Woman. The public will be asked to vote on the best work in this category.
Throughout the day there will be demonstrations of using a wheel, pottery decoration and raku firing with the Association l’Oraure from Mialet .
This event will finish around 19h with the prize-giving to the winner of the competition.
