Inauguration of the new wine cellar at the Cave Coopérative in Tornac

Earth feeds the vine and is the raw material for pottery. It is at the heart of our local area. This indisputable link connects the Tornac wine growers and the Anduze potters. For the inauguration of its new wine cellar, the Tornac Cave Coopérative is hosting an “Anduze Potteries, centuries of legend” event, where parallels will be drawn between wine and pottery. It will include an historic presentation, a new stamp exhibition, a ceramic exhibition and many other activities that will take place throughout the day.

Garden gathering …
Mas de la Frigoule , Chemin du Fustier – Route de St Félix de Palières

In this forever evolving, peaceful haven, the designers of the Garden : Jardin du Mas de la Frigoule draw parallels between the Cévenol bread tree and pottery. Bundles of chestnut wood which were once used for the potters kilns will be arranged around 400 year old tree stumps and numerous Anduze vases … an allusion to the famous garlanded vase which also dates back to 1610. With the Poterie la Madeleine.
Exhibition space open to all ceramists.

The Pentecost Race

Since the race first took place on Saturday 18th May 1991, the Anduze Vase has been given a place of honour at this event. Over the past 20 years, 10.000 vases have been given out. For the 21st edition of this race and in partnership with the Poterie Terre Figuière, an artist will decorate an Anduze Vase in the spirit of the race. A Tombola will be held to win the vase and proceeds will be donated to the charity COLINE. There will also be a footprint stand; children will be able to make a footprint in clay to take home with them.
